Physical Medicine & Pain Management

We thoroughly evaluate each individual and develop an appropriate, safe and effective plan of care to achieve optimal health, minimize disability, restore function and control or alleviate pain.

Our approach to care

Our office provides services to help treat chronic pain. Chronic pain, which is defined as pain that lasts for several months, or in some cases, years, affects at least 116 million Americans each year. Chronic pain is its own disease, and it can be very isolating.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapists play an important role in managing chronic pain by helping patients understand the underlying cause of their pain and administering treatments that include strengthening and flexibility exercises, manual therapy, posture awareness and body mechanics instruction. Our services include an on-site physical therapist who can assess and evaluate each patient.

Medication and Refills

Please provide a seven-day notice for prescription refills outside of an appointment. This allows time for the nurse to contact you with any questions or schedule an appointment if your provider needs to see you. We ask that you use one pharmacy, if possible, to be sure that your medications are stocked consistently. Not all pharmacies carry all medications. If they need to be ordered, your medications may be delayed.

Lab Results

There are several ways to receive your lab results:

  • A letter may be sent to you with a copy of the results to share with your primary care provider.
  • You may receive a phone call to review your results.
  • You may access all of your lab results through Healthy U.

Appointments

Your time reserved with your provider is valuable. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Bring a photo ID, insurance card and copayment if applicable. You must attend all of your appointments to continue your treatment at the center. If you do not keep your appointment, you may not be eligible for a refill of your medications. If you must reschedule, please call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or you may be subject to a missed appointment fee.
