Our approach
Centra College offers a 2-year Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program. The ADN program is approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing (VBON) and a member of the National Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (NOADN). The ADN program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
During the program, a wide variety of clinical experiences are provided at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital, Centra Virginia Baptist Hospital, and other local community locations. Successful completion of the program qualifies a student to take the National Council Licensing Exam-Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN).
Licensed Registered Nurses may have employment opportunities in the following areas:
